Blue Fixer

Postby MrFadedGlory » Thu Apr 01, 2010 4:31 am

So there's a blue fixer up on the bay and it raises a question in my mind that I feel compelled to unlease on the community:

Who amongst us would ever even consider profiting from resources of one of a kind memorabilia?
Really?! A 45 you got for free as a blessed gift and you want $2400 for it?!

If you are guilty the unwritten code says you must come forward and confess your sin.

Vic-chief,

i think the real problem is a little bit different....

is the blu fixer an orginal press?

dark blue, pale blu, marble-blue, white&blue...it's not important...

we are sure about just 3 colors: white & orange fixer..and white backspacer..

no other info...specially from 10c...that should be the first genuine info resource..

and i dont think we need to remember about Moth blu vinyl and save u clear vinyl...we all know very well the story about them....very beautiful, rare and expensive vinyls but..................... :|

dont forget that Bernd showed us the save u's testpress too..

in my little opinion, if the 10c dont confirm this item (or if we dont find serious info about it).....no blu fixer.....

It is genuine. 100% guaranteed. Pressed with the 10,000 white and +/- 300 orange. I lucked upon this one, but I do not collect Pearl Jam. Maybe none have surfaced because a fan got one because he/she works at Epic or Sony or i-tunes or wherever and the rest are packed away at 10c. You all have NO idea what they have stored at 10c. Good luck. I have plenty of private offers for this and it will be sold by the weekend.

For my enlightenment, how can $3,200, or whatever it was, be justified for the white Backspacer?

If this were a Nirvana Sliver 7" on baby blue vinyl or red or whatever else, I'd buy-it-now in a heart beat.

It sucks being a completist. ;)

first...Vic-chief u should move this topic to the pjdiscography section..

stoutr...we appreciated your info..but as u can easy imagine here there are guys that spent seious money and many years to build their collections....checkin ebay for hours, visit thousand of online stores, try to have new contanct with all the people around the world searchin rare items etc...

u can understand that we need something more strong as argument to believe that it's an original press...we saw lot of strange things during these years..
if u have a copy as vinyl collector and we'll discover that it's genuine...good for u,really a great catch....
if it's true that 10c has these copies...we're all happy to know (not our pockets) that we'll must find it and tryin to buy it.....maybe try to win it through a contest NOT ONLY FOR USA RESIDENTS....or paying the right price if it will be sell via official site as the benny.....
it will mean that we reach our goal...it's official....(that should be the first goal for a discography site before to be a collector site)...

but we (sorry guys if i'm using "we") cant believe to the first person (i'm not referring to u stoutr) that pops up just to say "it's official"..
if i think in this way it means that so easy to me sell u a save u clear vinyl...ask an incredible price..just saying "a person that in touch with the band,,,or " a person who worked at..."... ..i can easy add that the save u it's a rare piece (as the moth blu 7"), cause it's hard to see it on ebay...if u mark your calendar everytime u see it on ebay u'll easy discover that u'll find it just 2-3 times each year...so very difficult to see it...if i remember i see it 6-7 times in five ebay years.....a not avaibile in other online stores....

it means that i can make serious money with u selling a very rare wonderful bootz........in fact one of the first thing new collectors discover as a big surprise it's that they're noy official press....
there are many guys out there that still believe that Soldier field vinyl is official and the Five tracks from Vs suspected as a boot...
i know it's sad but i read this message on 10c board... :|
while they ignore that 5fixer orange dont have the same woth of a daughter 7"holland...that maybe u can have and sell for just 5$ making the greatest mistake of your life cause u dont know that it' more, more, more rarer than an orange fixer....

i dont know if the copy now on ebay has a light-reflex problem....but if it's a marble copy or rainbow coloured copy....it's a very very BAD SIGN...

again this message doesnt mean that the blu fix is a bootz...just mean that as old collectors that spent too much money..but we need a solid argument!!!
try to understand...if everyone starts to say ..."there's an ultra rare Rainbow cloured fixer..2copy and half pressed....impossible to find!!!"..the first person to be damaged are the guys of the pjcollecotrs that must wait the eternity to find a copy for a decent price...cause just someone said "this a genuine copy"!!!

hoping that 10c in a future give us a real confirm and the chence to ALL of US..not only to the usa fan...to have our copies too..

about the backsp white worth...we dont use to talk about the price here...old rule..but imo it's not its value...it happens everytime that people that are not pjcollector start to bid and buy an item just to show it and say "i have it at my home"

there's no vinyls cant be compared to the VS colombian...but it's just my opinion........(obviously not considering the testpress stuff)..

ah, the last thing...a very "LITTLE" detail....
inform your contact that it's impossible to have a blu fixer from Sony/epic......simply cause from Backspacer , PJ are UNIVERSAL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tell him/her to try the next time.......maybe he/she will be lucky!!!!!!!!!!! 8-)

I was only using Sony/Epic as an example. Not from my contact.
All I can say is record is 100% genuine. Correct matrix, correct sleeve, correct label, correct pressing plant (United Records in Nashville) and blue vinyl with some white marbling in it. Nuff said.

I love the seller's comment:

You PJ collectors are as bad as us Nirvana collectors. Funny stuff.

I feel like he/she called us idiots

I'm unsure on this too and with the greatest respect to Stoutr he has said very little to dispel the doubts

so it's got a correct matrix? How on earth do we know the correct matrix one only one copy has surfaced?

Yes it's made in the same place as the other fixers were - if this is a bootleg - for 2k you'd expect it to be well made and researched - so it's highly unlikely to say made in Disney on it

something seems wrong, there are a handful of people out there that would jump all over this even at that price if it was 100% authentic.

Good Luck selling it, I mean that, but question marks remain

tenclub are letting go too, so is this a pointer it's real? I'm sure they would immediately post a warning or reply to questions to avoid like they do when asked about autographs.. Even if they can't actually stop the auction

but one thing for sure is the arguments presented here are not exactly lighting the way.

At the end i can only say i don't think the marble fixer is legit but i think the one from stou is ...i don't understand why 10c doesn't answer messagge pit questions...

as i told on message pit

i don't think they pressed a few blue ones at the end of the white run. I don't think they have a range of colors from white to blue. remember the blue translucent versus
i think they used only one color vinyl paste to do only 50 fixer...i think a vinyl paste is the same from the first to the last vinyl ...i don't think the color fade at the last of the production
i don't understand how it can be possible...

also SAVE YOU is like that but it is not

just a quick example...first copies went on ebay for 2750$....it has the cd matrix scretched on vinyl....cause no official vinyl for this album...it has 10colored booklet pages...reproduct from the cd version (dont ask me who are these guys that have all this time and money to do this thing)...Promo label and cover...impressive work design on the black label
Tool took several months before to post on their site a "Warning info" about it....sadly too many guys salready spent serious money for it..since the first auction...

so again..Pleaz, post solid arguments...as form of respect for the other members...dont use this board to say "it's official cause a man/woman that works at etc.....
or invite your contact here...we're all ears and happy to have (not a confirm) other info....
dont forget that there are many guys that maybe wanna buy it and spend a lot of money...there are guests...sellers included that use not confirmed info from here just to do whatever they want on ebay...it's already happened in past...

to be sure about INTO THE WILD pdk we waited to see Ed with a copy in his holy hands......
