The VS in the Australian slipcase, has just the normal "VS" cover as the regular cd..

Yuri, I'm confused. Are you saying that your copy from the slipcase is different than the one that Paul bought?

The VS album that comes in the Australian Ten/VS pack, has the same black cd, as can be seen in:



The booklet however, is not the one pictured on the ebay listing.
It has the regular VS front, (the one with the animal on it) not the hand with the window cover.
It just looks like the ebay version is the release from the box, but with the booklet that comes with the VS ecopack.

So, it is different from the cd in the box.
If the cd arrives, we should check the backcover, catalognumber etc to see what is going on with this strange release.
I will look up any details from the VS in the ozzy box tonight when I get home.

Ok, cool.
But also...if you bought one, and I bought one, it probably means that this might be an official release, since I don't know if 2 different people will put together one cd from various releases..that would be weird.
So...let's see what we end up with, and maybe have 2 cool unofficial vs versions hehe.
Or have 2 cool official ozzy releases!

I have this nagging feeling that we've been duped - it was the same seller, who may have boughtn job lot from someone, my nagging feeling only comes from the fact that our leader and resident expert Bushleaguer has cast doubt on it. Sam is king when it comes to this stuff, so i strongly doubt what we have coming is gonna be anything other than what he says it is!!!

is that picture page in the booklet of the box set cd? the disc itself looks to be the same as the box release. just wondering if the booklet is turned to a wrong page? i also have a jewel box version of the cd that has this picture inserted underneat the disc, under a clear disc insert so that it can be seen when the disc is removed from the case....just wondering if the seller or someone else manipulated the booklet to make it appear that this is the front cover.

I scanned both cases and the back of both booklets from the Australian box set:







The booklets have catalog numbers printed on the back (Ten: 01-468384-11 / Vs: 01-474549-10). As you can see, the Vs booklet is similar to the one from the Eco-Pak but with a different number printed on it. Yuri, did your box set Vs come with a completely different booklet?

This Cd has arrived,

the booklet is the one Sam, posted above that is clearly different to that in the ecopack version - the back cover of the booklet has some changes.

I havent checked the cat no on the booklet but the one on the back inlay is 474549-2 - It looks like it has been put together doesnt it? but I will check that booklet number and get back

Mine is not the same!

I bought a sealed copy when I was in Perth, Australia.
When I opened the box, I have a "normal" VS booklet.
When I was in the store, I looked at the box, at an opened version, to see how it looked.
That one also had the "normal" booklet in the VS album.

It seems, that if you take of the front cover and back cover of the VS booklet, you will get the window front, and empty grey background as in the scans.
Weird!

Did you guys buy from one buyer?

Either there are 2 Australian versions, or a certain pressing messed up the booklets?

Hmm... very strange. I purchased my copy on eBay from an Australian record shop. It was factory sealed before I opened it. Yuri, does your booklet have the same catalog number on the 2nd to the last page as the one in my scan (01-474549-10)? Perhaps the outer cover was missing in a few pressings...

I just checked.
The VS booklet has indeed got the 01 474549 10 number on the 2nd to last page.
Mine is the same a normal release from 474549 2.
It has this number on the back of the booklet, in the upper right corner.
On the bottom, it has the usual info "produced by brendan....etc"

I now noticed another difference!
The scan you have of the backside of the TEN booklet, says a white number 01 468384 11.

Mine has a black number, 468884 2.

Any more thoughts?
(sorry about the "phonenumbers".. I can't get the numbers in normal it seems).
