Ok, enough messing around...

Here's the scoop on the "Gold Backspacer." Kev, your recent post certainly reignited my interest but I first found out about the gold Backspacer award from Tom Tommorow's blog:
http://thismodernworld.com/archives/5145It was just coincidence that after reading Kev's post, one appeared on eBay a few weeks later. After staring at the auction a few times I just couldn't resist hitting the BIN. But when I received the award, this is what I found:

The gold LP had become unglued. Since there was no way I was returning this, I had no choice but to carefully remove the backing and disassemble the frame. Plus, there is a sticker on the back with name of the framing company and they are only an hour away from me so worst case, I could bring it to them for repairs. But it was actually much easier that I though and I did little damage in the process.

And here's the back of the LP:

A dummy vinyl painted gold with a Backspacer label placed on the front. No surprise to me but mystery solved. It is a very striking award in person.

I was thinking, since the frame is still opened should I change the name on the plaque to read PJCollectors??
