Here is the history of this shirt.

In 2002, I received this rather used vintage shirt from my husband, a drummer in a local band here in Seattle.

He said Eddie Vedder had worn it in the first garage band video he ever made. I laughed and ask if it was a joke? It was given to my husband by a long time friend of ours. Another local musician who claimed it was Eddie's shirt, I always thought it was a joke as this friend liked to yank people's chains. :), but I still thought he was yanking my chain. He said our friend found out how long I had been an Eddie Vedder fan and thought I would want it. Something strange inside made me keep it just in case..... It sat in the back of my closet for years.

Fast forward to Christmas 2006:

My husband gives me Lance Mercer's book 5 x 1. As we looked through it, my partner noticed the photo on page 82. The mannequin was wearing the shirt my husband gave to me 4 years previous! I found the shirt in the closet and we had a good laugh. However we weren't quite sure what was going on. We always thought our friend liked to play practical jokes but this time it seemed he had been telling the truth about the shirt. It obviously belonged to someone in the band. I agree the origin of the shirt and the photo in the book are not complete evidence of it's authenticity....however, it is a very strange coincidence and well frankly, they way things turned out I assume it is Ed's. I have not been able to find a photo to verify this however.

A long time Pearl Jam friend suggested I sell it for charity.
I ask my husband's friend a few years ago who gave him the shirt. He claims to not remember. Maybe someone on Ebay can solve the mystery?

The shirt is really small, made of polyester with vinyl shoulder patches and metal hooks off the front pockets.

It is clearly vintage as the tag reads deLuxe Sportwear and the coffee stains look pretty old....
The left pocket star patch is coming off, it seems attached in the photo with the mannequin.

So random... yet I'm intrigued. Would be cool to bring to an Ed solo show and try to ask him if its his!

That would be cool. I would do it this Thursday when I see him in Dallas!!

Killer 1st night in Austin as well... as if anyone would have though differently.

(I swore I saw that shirt on eBay...maybe its too late and the OP is selling it.)

Interesting piece of history non the less.
