Good question, Not really, I have enquired though and told i am sufficiently insured on our contents policy.

They simply confirm that I should keep an inventory and a rough value guide should the worst happen.

Thats great then. I clean up after fires and floods and such here in Canada and more often than not I see alot of heart break after such disasters take place and the people soon realize the insurance won't pay full value for items as they don't see them as collectibles.
For example; if you a some rookie cards for baseball, hockey, football players etc and they are destroyed by something. If any other of those said rookie cards are worth over a $1000, unless insured for that, they look at them as just cards and will give you like 10 cents a piece.
So I think of a Benny being destroyed and we all know how pricey they can be, I would be just worried that the insurance company says its just a vinyl record and we'll only give you $40 to replace when we all know that ain't gonna happen.
I see your collection and know its worth alot and would hate for you to find out the hard way ;) But insurance policies may be different here in Canada than where you are.
