Guitar pick database

Fakes

Image
This pick has 2 designs from different eras, the line around the rat logo is way too thick and the design has jagged lines, it should be crisp and smooth.

Image
The design is all distorted and the material is not the one used by Dunlop "tortex"

Image
The original one on the left has smooth and crisp lines, the one on the right (fake) has jagged lines and a little distorted compared to the real one.

Image
The Design look off, shape and colors doesn't match the original.

Image
The letters are too wide plus the material of the pick is not tortex.

ImageImage
Note the definition of the design, the curves of the drawing are not smooth and the edge (of the drawing) is all jagged, the material of the pick is not tortex.
I added the blue one because it has similar problems to the yellow one.

Image
Compare it with the real one, the design has a lot less definition even thou is small, the material of the pick is not tortex.

Image
he design of the real one is supposed to messed us print letters, not smooth edges like the fake one, also the font used is different.

Image
The lines are too thick and jagged, and the design is all wrong, plus is not a dunlop pick.

I don't think there is an Ed black batgirl. Just the white version. I'm pretty confident about this. I'm also pretty certain your right about there only being one new Stone pick.

I don't know where to put the stone/lucas pick, should it be only a misprint or part of the good ones? Also should we start categorizing the picks by year? Any comments help would be greatly appreciate it.

I like the idea of having them by year. For the most part, you've got them in chronological order already so it shouldn't be too hard.

As for the Stone/Lucky Lucas pick, since it is legit, it can go in the database. If you don't want it in Stone's category you could always put it in the "other" section. Despite it being a mis print is is still a real pick.

I think we should also look into posting known fakes in a fake section. I think that having those I the database would serve as a great tool also for buyers who are unsure of a pick's authenticity. Just a suggestion.

Solid suggestion! Having the known fakes would be cool, and I'll add the years, I may be a little lost there thou.

I really like the idea to show the picks per year.
