Hi guys,
i'd like to introduce a new strange topic (i don't even know if here it's the right place to open it...).
we're all great JP and related collectors but probably some of you collect even other groups..
what do you think to open a new section dedicated to others collections?? just to share other experiences... (this could even help trades)

Hello

I collect Kings of Leon. I have around 50-60 cds and all of the vinyl. I also have all of the silkscreened posters. (about 30).

I stopped collecting PJ shortly after Vitalogy. I just sort of lost interest for whatever reason.
When KOL came along i instantly fell in love with the sound. It was nice to have a band that made me feel that way again like i first felt with PJ.

Anywho....

I collect RATM and used to collect Green Day before they totally lost it.

Also used to collect Silverchair Simo, I once wrote to them and they sent me a load of stuff back signed, really cool of them. In still have them to this day. My favourite item of theirs was a VHS tape I had of their MTV awards appearance...on the roof in New York, at 14 years old.

I collect everything from Jonah Matranga who was/is a member of the group FAR. In the past he had some other bands too like New End Original and Graitude. He has also released solo stuff under the name Onelinedrawing and now he uses his name Jonah Matranga for solo records. It's always great to see him live in small clubs. Now I hope for some FAR shows in Europe next year.

Yuri is great fan of him too. Maybe even more. ;)

There are a few bands I collect stuff from, but none of them as passionately as I do with Pearl Jam haha.

At one point I got into Silverchair as well, and A Perfect Circle.
(I have a list of singles and promos of them, so let me know if you are looking for certain items, I am selling or trading these)

But serious collecting besides Pearl Jam:

I was a big GRUNGE fan for years, still am.
Not the Nirvana grunge, but the 1985-1991 grunge.
I have collected a lot of Sub Pop vinyls, all first pressings, and most of them are very rare.
Here's a small part of the collection:

Handwritten setlist from an early soundgarden show:
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/Mindfold/soundgardensetlist.jpg
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/Mindfold/grunge2.jpg

but, I decided at one point, that it's SO expensive to collect sub pop AND Pearl Jam..
So, now I mainly collect PJ.

As Norman said, I also collect Jonah Matranga stuff.
Norman has a way bigger collection again, haha, but I just try to get my hands on his various projects and pressings as well.
I was very happy when we got to play a whole tour with him with my old band in 2006, and I got to play drums for him on stage. Playing some of my favorite songs with one of my favorite singers! hehe...
(When he spend some nights at my place, Jonah said he was impressed by my Pearl Jam collection haha!)

Other bands I love are "The Good Life" and "Cursive".
I collect stuff from these bands as well. Luckily, there is not much around from them!
So, a few promos, a few japanese pressings, and some vinyls. It's good to manage!

So, there you go, Jonah Matranga, The Good Life and Cursive (same singer).

I am not really searching everywhere for these other bands, but when something comes up, it's always fun to find something!

And about The Doors! Wow, I love them. Jim Morrison is one of my favorite people in rock music ever. I have all the books, and have met one of his old best friends.
She gave me stories about him that are amazing. I also heard recordings of him and the Doors that never have been released, since she is the only one who has them.
Great band, great story, great myths..
