Well... it's the card that is collectible. It has a code on the back that allows you to download the song. I can't imagine this type of format lasting very long. Digital gift cards are one thing, but I think they will only use these iTunes Digital Release cards to boost sales of specific albums.

I baught my cd copy of Into the Wild today.
It looks really great. Not a normal cd case, but a nice thick fold out...really cool.
