I don´t understand these kind of things... (and I know you discussed this before...)

how we can know are they "really" promos?

this is a cdr (handmate) and we can do with "word" all printed covers than we would like, for example

I suppose this guy paid something to get it

I have seen this item on ebay as well...
There is a studio address on the back, maybe someone here checked with them.
I am sure this is checked before it's put on here ;)
The cd looks awful indeed. The cover is ok.

ebay isn´t always "sure"

this promo constains a "generic" cover... so, I only need to find (buy, re-print, copy...) some "Sony" sleeves and I will have a lot of "brazilian" promos, for example

I never believe Ebay!
I mean, on the CD sleeve, is an address from a studio.
One call or email to them, and they can explain what it is I guess...

But I agree, it looks really bad for a promo cd.

Well, this is not so much a promo as it is a test pressing / reference disc. Jet Studio did some mastering work for Pearl Jam in the late 90's. Their website, jetstudio.com, is currently being updated, but Pearl Jam was listed on their client page. This CD-R was only intended for "internal use" hence the simple sleeve design and handwritten disc. It is similar to these other releases:

I know of one more Pearl Jam promo from Jet Studios. 8-)

These are more or less test pressings like Sam said. But they are legit even if the CD-R looks awful. :)

Yes, that's what I would think... These things get checked really well before we list them as promo on the site! ;)

i think this is like a boot
sorry but i don't agree about this item ...maybe can be done a section apart but this is not pj discography
there should be thousand of these items ...

i can see that i would prefere a good boot than this type of item but this is only an opinion

Hi Miguel,

This was just a promo copy for the radio stations in Belgium. Usually we had to supply Sony with 30 or 40 copies which they distributed to the radiostations to plug a new release.
Nothing special about this one, I guess.
