No Code - Gateway Mastering Studios CD's

Postby bu$hleaguer » Fri Aug 03, 2007 5:17 am

I was searching the net and stumbled across some interesting information:

i got these 2 cds given to me from a collector friend (who wasn't all that into pj). anyway the cds are from when no code was in the mastering phase, i guess, and are labeled Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland, ME. the individual tracks all sound the same as the album but it looked like they were brainstorming different album sequences.

Nope, the person who wrote that post is not me. But someone out there has them in their collection. I'm also aware of another Gateway Mastering Studios CD:

Not For You/Out Of My Mind (Live) (Gateway Mastering Studios Premaster CD-R With Handwritten Notes in Jewelcase) USA 1995

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but this was the only mention of these discs that I could find. I found this CD in a free bin at a Tacoma, WA record store a few years ago:

Aside from the tracklisting, the only different thing I noticed after a listen through was that "Who You Are" has the "avalanche, falling fast" line at 1:17, rather than "circumstance, clapping hands."

Can anyone offer some insight into this? Does it look like the real deal? Is it worth anything?

Thanks!

Not a great picture, but i got this promo poster round the time the record came out and it too has the alternative tracklisting on it. hard to see here, but i think it's the first listing posted above.
