I had no idea about this Reeenk I have until tonight.

I noticed the eBay auction and nearly fainted. I've had one of those forever and never realized it was anything special. I checked out the link to twofeetthick and I'll just cut and paste what I emailed them.

I was just goofing on eBay and noticed how rare/expensive this cd is. I've had one since it was sent to me at the record store I ran a long time ago. Mine is REALLY strange though. I remember getting it well AFTER the album was released and the cd inside looks just like a regular cd. It's not a cd-r. The only weird thing I notice is a strange "stamp" on the spindle that reads CMU P 106. It has Eddie Vedder's autograph and he drew a basketball next to his name. It also has the green marker scheme.
I'm guessing someone found a few autographed sleeves at Sony but there were no cd-r's left and they just sent it to me with a regular cd in its place. The store I ran was The Alternative Record Store in Tampa, FL and it was a very well-known store. We received LOADS of goodies all the time so it's not really all that weird that they'd send me something like this. Honestly I never realized I had anything of value until tonight. Would you like some pics?

i disagree, mass. that's ed signature. compare to the one i have on my guitar circa 1994



very odd that the disc is the regulare release, but the sleeve is reeenk roink. the sleeve obviously looks fully legit. guess they just decided to replace the cd before sending it since it had already been released, but felt that the sleeve was a good promotional tool.

awesome to see another one turn up! this would be about 12 or 15 confirmed, wouldn't it?

wonder how many more are out there.....


PS REEENK ROINK IS NOT A CDR. IT IS A BLANK, FACTORY PRODUCED CD SILVER ON BOTH SIDES. CDR'S WERE NOT COMMONLY USED AS PROMOS IN 1991

Yep I know 14 or 15 out there, the "old" pjdiscograhpy says that 100 were produced, I'd like to know how many goes to the recycle bin!!
