As Rock Daily told you earlier this month, for the new documentary Body of War, the film’s subject, Tomas Young, compiled two discs worth of music that inspired him when he was paralyzed from the chest after being shot during his first week of duty in Iraq. The soundtrack, titled Body of War: Songs That Inspired an Iraq War Veteran, features songs “that inspired, motivated, and at times, literally saved me over the past few years,” explains Young. The album features contributions from Lupe Fiasco, Roger Waters, System of a Down, Bruce Springsteen, Bright Eyes and many more, as well as that live at Lollapalooza 2007 version of “No More” that Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder performed with Ben Harper. To get a preview of and to pre-order the album, check out their Web site. In the meantime, follow the jump for the complete tracklist.
