No more promo cds (?)

Here is an interesting article I found, related with promo cds.
I believe most of you who collect promo cds and cd singles will find this very interesting. (I found it pretty interesting, although I'm a vinyl fan!)

Sony Music [...] will cease sending promo CDs to critics and journalists, and instead only provide them with digital previews.

I know PJ is no longer with Sony Music (although any future re-releases will be through Sony), but this article shows where the music industry is heading and how they will deal with promotion in the future...

So... good old promo cds will be even more valuable in a few years?!
And... will we add a new category to the pjcollectors site, called "digital promo card/preview" ? ( just kidding... or not? )

i totally forgot about it..i read the same thing days ago on other collectors board where i found the same thing...
stop promo cd and green light to the digital preview for the press to promote the artists..
they're not realted to the Sony but as a general info about the next step to promote the music...
and in the same article it was mentioned about the slowly cdsingle disappear from the market...

not difficult to imagine for the pj too...if u think that the last official US cdsingles is...save you!!
