Damn, I hear we have to pay between 80 - 90 euros to UPS for the Ten box.
That makes it VERY expensive :(

also, read this:

This, makes me very sad.

What the **** ? This is crazy!
10c will receive some serious emails if this happens to all purchases from Europe!!!
Anyone else experienced the same problem?

Also, just checked my ups tracking number. My package is in Germany for the last 2 days and delivery date has been rescheduled twice...

That absolutely stinks, pains me to say it but I have no doubt the signing bit was a very clever marketing ploy to shift more units....which sees the bands stance and politics going full circle....

I just received mine!!

Not signed, but I didn't have to pay anything.

I am curious about it, I still expect a bill from UPS sometime soon...

they arrived in the UK today with £35 each to pay extra. Fucking pathetic. Mine havent arrived yet, but the fact that they are charging $50 for shipping was bad enough. By saying they may sign some, conned us all into ordering one, two or even three each from them rather than in our own country.

When Jeff said RANDOM orders would get a pick, then ended up giving almost everyone one, that was really cool, but when they use that random work again, its wierd I kinda applied the same logic to this

I've had many items shipped from outside the EU and never had to pay additional taxes. I think the customs are pretty good in Holland for these things to slip through.
But 93 euro's is absurd. I don't think they're even allowed to charge 20 euro's for handling/stamps etc. At least not here in Holland.
What kind of communists are the Portuguese customs??? They should have charged 43 euro's max!

Then again, the only thing you can blame 10c for are the high shipping costs. But in one way that can be justified as well since they choose for a special courier (UPS) in order to get all boxes to everyone around the world at the same time. Try sending a box that big with UPS yourself, can't do that for under $40.

Yeah, Denmark here changed a tax policy as well end of last year.
I really hope no extra costs will come by mail...

It was expensive enough as it is.
The box is truly fantastic, but next time, I will order it through another website I think.

maybe not Jos, but then again i cannot ring up UPS and agree a deal for sending out 5000 of the bloody things either, they must have done some sort of deal.

Next time I'll be going to HMV.co.uk and saving myself a good £75 PER SET,

I still do not understand how the US got the shipping free........it boggles my mind

Just got a call from ups Greece...
My package arrived today and is held at the Greek customs...
So I have to go to the customs at the airport Monday morning (which means I have to be late at my work) to do all the paper work in order to receive it! Unfortunately with extra costs!
So I have to pay:
UPS: 15 euros in order to give me my file with all the necessairy documents (!!!!!)
Greek Customs: 45 euros taxes plus 1,75 euros for each day my package is being stored in their warehouse.
UPS can do all these for me and deliver it at my door, but with a total cost of 130 euros (!!!!)

I knew about customs and taxes policy, that's why I always ask for all my orders from the US (ebay, online records stores etc) to be sent with usps first class or priority mail. There are no customs or taxes with these two services so I had no problems in the past, whatever the price or the size of the product was.
Unfortunately 10c never stated ups as the provider, so I thought that everything will be just fine...
When I saw that delivery confirmation mail from ups I knew what was coming...

Thanks a lot 10c for all the mishandling and misinformation! I will be very happy if it's a signed one (which i doubt it) but this was my last order!!!
I'm keeping my membership just for tickets and the Xmas (summer) single!

My apologies for this long post everybody.
Hope everything works out fine with your orders...

a good friend in paris got the UPS mail as well, and tracked it until today.
It has been in France for 2 days already. Now he got a call, that they delivered it to the wrong distro center.
He has to wait a few more days as well, and probably has to pay a lot of money anyways...

I am also keeping my membership for tickets and the "summer" single.

Uhm, taxes apply to all goods no matter what shipping method you choose. Guess they just check the regular mail less thoroughly than courier mail so you have been lucky all the time.
But thinking that usps first class or priority mail keeps you free from taxes is a complete misunderstanding! Just to inform you...
