This question is to Vic or any other contributing member to PJCollectors.com.

Is there a way to build in functionality to the site to be able to add to and track your personal collection? Similar to Exspresso Beans where you can add a print to your collection.

I have my own created database for Maxi CDs, but don't think it is viable to make a database on everything...expecially since new things are discovered and released all the time.

I know some similar requests have been made, but didn't know if anyone had brought up the idea of doing it through the website. You would have to create user accounts to login to and then you could add/remove items via a checkbox to your personal collection. Since this site is by far the authority on PJ discography, it makes sense to use it to track your own collection as well.

What does everyone think? I don't know if this would be a large task or small task at this point.

Hi Brian, this has been a hot potato for the last few years

so far no one has had the time or i think perhaps the skills to do this.

It would be amazing to have it , and maybe one day we can make it happen. If you have any ideas how it can be achieved it would be great to hear them

I considered contacting the site creators of Ebeans once to see how it is done, but work got the better of me

Friends this is the third part on an unfinished project (2nd was the Virtual Museum listings).

I'd like to find some time to create a simple list for each user based on the forum access/database connected to the site database.

Honestly, I'd need more than some weekends to complete the site.

Let me think about how to do this (again).

Oh the virtual museum still excites me!!!

I for one would be willing to donate money (if thats what was needed) to make this happen. Being able to click on items which stores it into your own personal collection would be awesome.
