Thats a great idea Norman, car hire is a matter of 30 quid a day or so, you only need it 2 days, 15 quid each for 4 travelling - ease of travel, door to door, and no messing about with tubes, taxis and trains....easily the most effective means of travel and most flexible

Hey guys, check this website:

http://www.momondo.com

I often book my tickets with that website.
Last year I found a return ticket to New York for 350 euro's through that website.
It might help you as well!

Paul gave me another idea, flight from Berlin to East Midlands!

Is this a direct flight or with a stop in London?

Is this also with RyanAir? How do I get the best way from the airport to the arena (hotel will be very near)?

I have to find this flight. There is also a late flight from Berlin to East Midlands. But it's late but only 42 Euro.

Either airport or by train I would suggest.

the east midlands flight is Ryanair, but it cost me a lot more because I am taking my little monster with me,....

the flights were £20 return, total cost...over £250.....£40 fucking quid to take a bag along the way, and 20 quid each to check in!!! no online checking in becausen I have an infant....unreal, but I dont care I'm seeing PJ ;)

Norman getting from East Midlands is easy to manchester, there is a train direct, just worried about the time of night the plane lands. I would defo suggest hiring a car at the airport - one that you can leave in manchester - should cost you no more than 30 pounds and give you total flexibility
